In 2016, I went for the first time to the Brooklyn Bowl to see a concert by Antibalas. During the concert, Jovanotti sung as a guest with them for just 15 minutes. I was really impressed by the energy they passed to us by playing together and how we, the audience, responded to this beautiful and yet eccentric mixture of styles. We all filled the room with such a positive vibe.
It is that moment that I challenged myself to paint. Being able to capture in his smile this synesthesia of colors and music. Brooklyn for me has this unexpected and sometimes strangely beautiful palpitation.
