Marco Comandini

I am Marco Comandini, an Italian artist born in Genova but raised in Brussels during my childhood and teenage years. I moved back to Italy to pursue a degree in Biology in Firenze before moving to New York in 2013.

As a struggling researcher, I challenge myself to explore various media to create my art. Through my paintings, I try to capture and share the essence of my experiences and keep the feeling of the moment alive. As an Italian artist with a unique blend of science and art, I invite you to explore my paintings and discover the stories behind each piece.

Shows and exhibits

2016: Awarded at a Blick/Utrecht art exhibition in New York.

2018: First animated short film “Oh My Dog!” premiered at the Brooklyn Film Festival and has since been selected and screened at 15 other festivals worldwide.

From 2021: New series of retrofuturistic/vintage posters “What Makes Us Human” is exhibited at Saatchi Art “The Other Art Fair” in New York and Los Angeles.
