Oh My Dog!

A clumsy airport worker is busy taking out the luggage from a plane. When one of the boxes falls and gets opened by accident, the worker will be startled by what he finds inside…Based on a true story!

A little background from my first animated short (very short!)

Creating an animated short with limited resources was always a challenge I wanted to take on. That’s when I stumbled upon a workshop by Oscar-nominated animator Bill Plympton and his team, offering an opportunity to create indie animated shorts. I seized this chance to push my creative boundaries and give my ideas a tangible form.

With the workshop’s structured deadlines, I was motivated to channel all my energies into delivering a finished project. Initially, I used traditional pencil and paper techniques, but I soon realized that this was taking too long. I eventually switched to digital animation using Cintiq and Photoshop, which proved to be more efficient.

Working on the project was a side hustle, with only weeknights and weekends available for me to devote my time to it. Nonetheless, I enjoyed every moment of it and felt rewarded when the short premiered at the Brooklyn Film Festival. It was heartwarming to witness the audience’s reaction to my work.

Since then, the short has been selected for 15 animated film festivals globally, and I’ve received valuable feedback to improve my future projects. I owe a debt of gratitude to my wife for her patience and creative input in developing the story, and Mary Feisinger for her outstanding work on the soundtrack.

I hope you’ll enjoy watching the short as much as I enjoyed making it. As an artist, I’m always seeking new challenges and ways to improve my craft.
